I don’t know why, but the word “ruminate” has always had kind of a yucky connotation to me. But then I found Ruminations.com. It’s pretty much a website where people post funny, non-personal status updates. You know those Facebook friends you have that you’re not really friends with but you keep because they occasionally write a really funny status? Ruminations is full of those people. And the best part is, you have to submit a rumination and then somebody decides whether it’s actually funny enough to put on the site.
Some of my faves include:
I wish Google Maps had an “Avoid Ghetto” routing option.
That’s enough, Nickelback.
My friend likes to call two ugly people dating “good for you!” couples.
Okay, that last one is kinda mean. But what I’m trying to say is, if you are wondering what to do with all the time you used to spend poring over this blog– once a fresh flowing stream of creativity, wit, and poignancy and now a pitiful trickle of words–go check out ruminations.com and laugh a little. Oh, and you get to rate ruminations as “gourmet” if you like them and comment, too. And maybe last week one of my ruminations got 254 gourmet points. I’m just saying.
