This morning I woke up with an Israeli song in my head. A year ago today I was there, in Israel, finishing up the trip of a lifetime. (More on that, click here.) And in the past year, I have not been able to get that land out of my head, my heart, my blood. Going back is not even an option.
Next year in Jerusalem! (But first, Norway…)
Od yavo shalom aleinu

Salaam (Salaam)
Aleinu ve al kol ha olam
Salaam, Salaam
Translation: “Peace will come upon us/Peace will come upon us/Peace will come upon us/and on everyone./Salaam (“peace” in Arabic)/on us and on everyone/Salaam, Salaam.
